The Great War Exhibition Invites You - Maori in The Great War
Sunday, 19 June 2016
As we embrace Matariki, The Great War Exhibition are delivering a specialty tour telling the story of Maori in the Great War.
Please see our flyer with additional information attached. If you are able to pass on this information to those who may be interested that would be greatly appreciated.
Created by Sir Peter Jackson and supported by ANZ, The Great War Exhibition tells the story of the First World War in brilliant colour. It brings the ordeals of this pivotal time in history into the modern day, melting away 100 years, helping us
to understand the hardships endured by those who served and those who stayed behind.
In the spirit of Matariki, we have an exclusive opportunity to remember the dead and tell the story of Maori within the Great War. Our knowledgeable guide will provide both an educational and emotional experience connecting our visitors with the story of our soldiers.
The duration of the tour is approximately 1 hour.
